Phoenix · Li possesses a special interest in the development of clinically relevant models of movement analysis and retraining, and in the deep integration of evidence-based medicine, sport science and Kinetic Control® to optimise movement, prevent injury and enhance performance. His mastery of functional movement assessment and clinical reasoning, combining precise analytical thinking with a broad multi-disciplinary knowledge base spanning sports medicine, football medicine and rehabilitation, is a strong clinical strength. Central to his practice is the Kinetic Control clinical reasoning process, which provides clinicians with a structured framework to integrate movement control, load management and performance restoration into everyday work. In recent years, he has continued to advance the practical application and localisation of these models among both elite and developing athletes. He describes his clinical experience as diverse. Working with all levels of pain, impairment and performance demand — from individuals with recurrent musculoskeletal problems, through youth athletes in critical growth phases, to higher-level competitors — he has spanned the full spectrum of movement and performance. He remains clinically active, applying a multi-dimensional approach to the management of posture, core control, gait, injury risk and return to performance, which is the direction his professional development has championed. At the specialised end, his focus includes football medicine frameworks, long-term athlete development pathways, and the integration of Kinetic Control principles with modern load monitoring and return-to-sport decision-making. His ability to systemise the complexities of movement control and its interactions with pain, load, growth and performance continues to be sought in both clinical and educational settings. This capacity underpins his ongoing contribution to professional training, course promotion and the practical dissemination of movement-based clinical reasoning. Alongside clinical and consultancy commitments, he continues to provide teaching and mentoring support for practitioners developing skills in Kinetic Control, functional assessment and sports rehabilitation, with particular emphasis on building professional capacity in China. Phoenix completed his professional training and certification through international pathways that include Kinetic Control Tutor accreditation, the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine and the Barça Team Sports Physician programme. He is quick to offer sincere acknowledgement of the guidance and mentorship of leading figures in the field, notably Mark Comerford, Sarah Mottram, Lincoln Blandford and the wider movement science community. This generosity extends to his development of others: he remains highly enthusiastic about sharing the clinical insight, clinical reasoning and therapeutic application skills that he has continued to refine and adapt from these foundations.
